Marketing
Book marketing: a launch quarter, not a launch day.
Most book marketing fails because it is compressed into publication week, aimed at everyone, and stopped the moment the launch is over.
What this is
Marketing a book means deciding who it is genuinely for, reaching those specific readers where they already are, and sustaining it long enough to matter. That takes planning before publication and continued activity after it — a quarter at minimum, not a week.
We plan the campaign around the book and its readership. What that includes varies enormously by category, and we would rather tell you that a tactic is wrong for your book than sell it to you.
Book Marketing
What you get
What book marketing actually delivers
A defined readership
Who the book is actually for, described specifically enough to be reachable.
Pre-launch groundwork
Metadata, description, categories and early reader outreach set up before publication rather than after.
A campaign that runs on
Activity planned across the launch quarter, so momentum does not stop on publication day.
Category-appropriate tactics
Approaches chosen for how your category's readers actually discover books, not a generic checklist.
Honest measurement
Reporting on what happened, including what did not work.
How it runs
The process, stage by stage.
Each stage finishes before the next begins, and you see the work at the points where your decision changes what happens next.
Positioning
The reader, the comparable titles, and the single sentence that makes someone pick the book up.
Asset preparation
Description copy, metadata, categories, keywords and launch materials.
Pre-launch
Early reader outreach, review approaches and platform groundwork ahead of publication.
Launch
Coordinated activity across the channels chosen for your book.
Sustained quarter
Continued activity and reporting after publication week, with the plan adjusted on evidence.
Questions
About book marketing
No, and neither can anyone else. Any company promising a bestseller ranking is describing a mechanic, not a readership. We plan to reach real readers and report honestly on what happens.
Where it suits the book. Advertising works better in some categories than others, and ad spend on a book with no clear readership is money burnt. We will tell you if that is the situation.
Yes. We will review the existing metadata and listing first, because those are often the cheapest things to fix and the most neglected.
